In short

ABN AMRO's Public Cloud Platform Grid is looking for an Technical Writer who wants to work with energetic DevOps teams. We have our own internal population, and we have internal clients within the bank that uses our products, and therefor our documentation.  We need someone that is self-propelled, detail oriented and can translate all our technical awesomeness into high-quality documentation!  Next to work the PCP Grid is a grid in which we occasionally play (digital) games, have lunch together on office days and fosters a climate where everyone can be themselves.

Your profile

Our ideal candidate is someone with a heart for producing high quality documentation appropriate to its intended audience. You are a good listener when discussing the ideas and concerns of colleagues/stakeholders and you are eager to learn about new developments in the world of our products and giving it a voice through your documentation. Our team's documentation and communication is in English.

Your job

In your role as an technical writer you will:
-        Develop clear and concise technical documentation including manuals, guides, and tutorials.
-        Obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and technology from subject matter experts and create process documentation, procedure manuals, and technical specifications.
-        Organize and present complex information in an easy-to-understand format for the target audience.
-        Write easily understandable text for UI, developer guides, and online help.
-        Prepare tutorials to assist users in using a variety of products.
-        Revise and update documentation as new product features or updates are released.
-        Ensure documentation adheres to industry standards and guidelines.
-        Perform research to collect information for documentation projects.
-        Help in creating and maintaining a documentation style guide.
-        Ensure consistency in product messaging by collaborating with other teams.
-  Provide input in the design and layout of documentation

Relevant knowledge, skills, competences & desired education level         

Requirements:
-        Bachelor’s degree IT Engineering or a related field.
-        Cloud Experience (Azure) (Must anders geen feedback)
-        Proven experience in technical writing, preferably in the relevant industry.
-        Ability to work with engineers to enhance user experience, improve content, and prepare illustrations and diagrams for technical support content.
-        Ability to comprehend complex technical concepts and convert them into easy-to-understand text and pictures.
-        Understanding of system development lifecycle (SDLC).
-        Proficiency in English is required.
-        Experience in using technical writing tools and software.
-        Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
-        Knowledge of the industry and its terminology.
