Omschrijving:
For our client in Amsterdam we are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer (NodeJS, JacaScript, Agile)

The engineer will help us build a large Micro-frontend in line with the Global Assisted Platform.

The opportunity
“We are passionate about our employees so they can delight our customers.”
Working for Global Assisted Platforms means working in a dynamic environment. With thousands of employees using our services every day, we are responsible for stable, secure, user-friendly, and innovative tools across all assisted channels, including call and chatbots. We ensure that our customers and employees always have the best experience, supported by a common global assisted channels toolkit. From the UX designer to the IT engineer, we are all working towards the same goal. Almost all our retail countries currently use our platforms and we re still adding new user groups and countries. To make this possible, we develop a large micro-frontend where we work with teams in other countries to build one of the largest platform applications.

The Team
To be more precise, the Global Assisted Platform is divided into several platform and feature teams, located in different countries, and consisting of different disciplines: Web, API, Testing and Pipeline Automation. Hierarchically, we are in the Global Assisted Platform area, and our main challenge now is to develop a large micro-frontend in line with the Technology Platform, using the web component as a standard. To move to a micro-frontend architecture, we need to re-organise ourselves, think conceptually, but also get our hands dirty. As engineers, we love to collaborate. We value high quality code, we are flexible and performant, and we love to continuously improve everything we do.

Roles and Responsibilities
We believe that creating an environment where everybody feels safe and productive is what makes teams great. As a Senior Software engineer you will need to wear many hats to help your squad reach your goals.

Some of the roles and responsibilities that we would like to see:
-Contribute to a safe and productive working environment.
-Always take the opportunities to help others be successful.
-Actively seek to grow your own skills, understand new technologies and contribute to the knowledge of those around you.
-Help maintain and support the existing products and goals.
-Contribute towards a realistic roadmap for your squad.
-Become a Blue Security Champion for your area.
-Contribute and help improve the Frontend Architecture.

How to succeed
We hire smart people like you for your potential. Our biggest expectation is that you’ll stay curious. Keep learning. Take on responsibility.
-8+ years’ experience in Front-end engineering and working within agile organisations.
-Experience with the NodeJS ecosystem and enjoy keeping up to date with the latest JavaScript releases and features.
-Familiarity with web components meta-specification.
-You prefer lightweight web components over heavy frameworks.
-Experience building re-usable component libraries.
-Experience using testing frameworks.
-You prefer automation above repeating yourself.
-Desirable Design Patterns: Single Page Applications and Micro-frontend Architectures.
-Familiar with the Accessibility (a11y) standards.
-Strong technical communication skills and keen to engage with customers.
-Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
